Default This may be a duplicate of other content.

Well I promised a better report, having this time anticipated requests for the Radio Flyer, more Triumphs, Choppers in general, but most of all MORE VINTAGE!

So here it goes: Nice day with great weather this past Sunday in Middleboro Mass. The location of the event was Sisson's Diner on RT28. Sisson's Diner is one of the oldest and most unusual diners in Massachusetts -- the only surviving diner that's a converted trolley car.

This car was built by the Wason Manufacturing Company of Springfield, Massachusetts, in the 1910's for the Middleborough, Wareham, and Buzzards Bay Railway. When the railways shut down in 1923, Middleboro businessman Elmer Sisson bought this car, moved it across the street from his house, and converted it into a diner.

Default And the rest of the post...

OK that said - the Tumbleweeds MC should also be on the historic register as one of the oldest motorcycle clubs in the country. If I remember reading it right, the club was founded in 1939 and has been active ever since. The Tumbleweed Motorcycle Club was founded in 1939 when Lawrence Monty Moneghan and Gerald Bullock made a trip west on their new motorcycles and after days and nights on the road decided to form a club devoted to sportsmanship and motorcycles. The club has a long and storied history in racing, campouts, roadtrips, etc.

Thanks Dave,

We had the '56 Cub along too. Finally found a correct right side script for the tank to replace the cracked one I had on it. The little bikes got a lot of attention, even amoung the V-Twin and leather crowd.

I sent you more info re: your P-11 question off line.
