Default Modified Triumph Thruxton

My 2006 TRIUMPH THRUXTON

Rear Wheel Figures, Rolling Road Tested at Bob Farnham Tuning:

Stock motor 52.0bhp, 41 ft/lbs torque.

Tuned motor 88.4bhp, 65.5 ft/lbs torque.

Mechanical Modifications:

Engine capacity raised from 865cc to 904cc

Oversize inlet and exhaust valves.

High lift camshafts

Keihin FCR 39mm flat-slide race carburettors with open velocity stacks

Cylinder head gas flowed, ported and skimmed (10.8 to 1)

Fly wheel balanced and lightened 440g

Heavy duty (+10%) clutch springs

Predator stainless steel race exhausts

Pretech 6-pot billet alloy race spec caliper

Brembo radial master cylinder.

EBC Prolite fully floating front disc

EBC HH Sintered Pads

Norman Hyde fork brace

Norman Hyde steering damper

Ikon adjustable rear suspension

Cosmetic Modifications:

Handmade ‘Slippery Sam’ polished aluminium fuel tank

Alloy Monza fuel cap

CNC billet alloy footpegs

Aluminium side number boards

Aluminium fly screen

Rear mudguard shortened

Billet alloy front brake master cylinder.

Bonneville T100 black & grey speedometer and tachometer

Drilled and polished gear lever and rear brake lever

Polished alloy seat cowl

Polished alloy front mudguard

Billet aluminium indicator lights

Billet aluminium LED rear light

Circa 1959 cherished number plate

Yes. Bought it new in July 06 and started the modding almost immediately, so there are always new mods every time a photo is taken


Here's a couple of photos taken by the Motorcycle News photographer before the alloy mudguard and seat cowl were fitted. The bike was featured in MCN in Jan 08

Brilliant just fantastic...a nice job of melding the new with the old...just cause I like to show mine here is a pic of my Caff

It is a 63 Atlas..like yours lots of mods and special bits and pieces, the biggest one of is the adaption of a Commando Primary to the Atlas motor.

impressive, allthough i am a bit weary of alloy tanks. at least its not plastic.
these machines definitely need a boost in power. good job on that!
my thought are. we have been recently informed by another member, that science says velocity stacks hurt performance and the stock air box is best.
why are you running open intake?
