Too bad I didn't see this earlier. I have an exo 1000 and upgraded to the shoei 1000. I like the shoei much more. The ventilation is better than the exo, but it doesn't have anti fog. The flip down glasses are great too if you don't want to swap visors.

If the exo is comfortable for you, go for it. It's a really good helmet, and going from a cheapie to the exo 1000 will be like upgrading to a mercedes.

I prefer the shoe because my forehead is kinda pointed, and the shoe is the only helmet I've found that is actually comfortable after breaking it in, and it's more stable than the exo.

I love the shoei, it's easier to get on and off, more comfortable, more stable at speed, a bit quieter, lighter, and vents better.

The exo is still a great helmet. Anti fog visor, chin pump can really lock it onto your head, and you can ride all night and all day with one visor.

After about a month of riding with the exo, it started hurting my head because of the break in of the pads. That's pretty much the only reason I started looking for a new helmet, but now that I have the shoei, I don't think I'll go back to scorpion.
