Default I'd Rather Have This...

... W650 than a Triumph Scrambler.

Still can't understand why this interesting towershaft twin wasn't a hit in the US.

I think it suffered from misguided marketing. The agency should have had better input and focused on the weight advantage. If it had been introduced in this guise, Triumph should have never considered their Scrambler. Just my opinion, though, and I admittedly don't understand any big adventure bikes' appeal.

They lost one sale just because I was broke when these were in the showrooms.

What a wonderfully proportionate machine that was never as good in the dirt as the old timers remember it was. Great memories, beautiful bikes, and thank god for modern technology. (I'd ride it on the street in a heartbeat.)

The oldest one is 13 years or so old.

It was a huge hit with me, ours is one of the best bikes in the garage.

That's a good looking bike. Loved the W650 and would seriously consider buying a W800...if I could.

Not a twin, but anyone else see the Ryca Scrambler kit they are working on? I liked the cafe' bike, but the scrambler is more of a rider, in my eyes:

It's built from a Suzuki S40, so it's a 650c single. They are also working on a street tracker.
