Default Got a Versys

2008. Used but immaculate. Owned by a fastidious owner. I just like it. It looks nerdy but it's fun and comfortable and I can even go on some fire roads or ride it to the grocery store or work or as far as I'd like.
Some designers and marketers got creative and pushed the motorcycling envelope in a new direction.

Thumbs up Pretty cool

Styling is kind of wierd, but they are supposed to work pretty good.

I kinda like the styling. Compared to some of the new bikes coming out of the other big companies, the Versys doesn't look too bad. They do have a pretty darn good motor too.

Yes, the styling was initially unconventional to me as well. But nerdy, techy, purposeful bikes make sense. It stuck me that this styling trend is also seen in the Honda Element, and Beemers, my Morrell soleless shoes (like walking barefoot), and other places. Form follows function, as Mies von der Rohe said, right? At any rate, the paint and fit and finish are high quality so not only Honda can do this.

I just sold my '08 this summer. Great little bike, just tooooo tall for my short legs. Loved that motor; if I found a nice 650 Ninja I would give it serious consideration!!

Bikes like the Versys remind me of Swiss Army pocket knives. Everybody could use a Swiss Army pocket knife at some point.

Mine came with a Motowerk's lowering kit that takes the seat down 1.85". Then you can get the Kawi gel seat to take off another 2". I can flat foot it with just the lowering kit. It's a great riding stance and posture.

Smile Hey Thats Great!

I sat on one last year on Black Friday. I really wanted it to fit me so I could buy that Cool Green one, but the kawasaki KLR650 fit me better so I bought it.

It seems like a really nice bike and I am glad you picked one up,, Have fun.. dj
