Supercharger is at least a year or two off.

As seen around, patents have been filed, and it is long overdue.

Unlimited horsepower is as American as Apple Pie.

Exactly, which is why there is no universal answer for the "How much power is enough?" question. There are those that are fine with stock power regardless if it's a Ninja 250 or a ZX14R and then there are those that want alot more so they seek it from after market vendors.

Supposedly, this new 14 will have about 220hp/120 lbs. of tq....Even so, it will NOT be enough for some.

kawaski says over 200 hp, Ricky gadson said it makes 210 at the crank. he managed two tenths of a second and five mph quicker than the 2011 kaw14

It just seems the more power they make the more the top end has to be restricted. So is the HP race to see who can achieve 186mph the quickest? And why when there are cars that will go over 186 do we have restrictors at all?

That is more than ANYBODY can use on the street without putting other people in danger.

Can't speak for everyone else but that's more than enough power for me for sure. I've seen my fair share of Ninja 250, scooters, and low power heavy cruisers doing 50-60mph in 25mph zones so on the streets, just about any bike can put other people in danger.

Correction: just about any rider can put other people in danger...
