looks like a victory cruiser frame, the evo-clone bottlecap engine, and sort of indian style fenders.

(personally though) I'd take a real Indian before I'd buy anything polaris builds with the Indian head stuck on it.

Wasn't the last 'real' indian built in 1953? Those are getting EXPENSIVE. However, I know what you mean. I've always loved the old Bubeck Chout things.

Anyway, hopefully Polaris will make a good go of it.

so score a big victory for indian by way of the mighty mouse test at least!

I kinda liked it. I think scrap that exhaust and use a smaller front fender, call it a scout, maybe.

Never been much of a fan of real indians. Dont like the gilroy indians and the km chiefs and the real chiefs make me want to cringe every time I see one, just to much of a throw back for me.

It will be intresting to see how this all plays out over the next couple years.

Wow, really? You like that, but not the original Indians? I agree with whoever said it looks like it should be ridden by Mighty Mouse. Cartoonage.

I wonder how they are going to sneek that front caliber behind that fender. Must be a really wide fender or a really narrow front wheel.

After dumping that exhaust and front fender, yes. The picture might not have come from polaris, its something that that pub is claiming to be from polaris, but I have not seen it anywhere else.

I dont know much of anything about indian, but I do know that the chief is not the only model they made. It seems when most people think of indian they see the chief. To me its over the top gaudy and out of proportion, especially kings moutains version of it. I do realise that my opinion is not the norm. The scouts I do like, atleast the ones I have seen.

When I see a gilroy version of an indian I see a nut for nut ripoff of a harley. The bikes looked good but they were aftermarket harleys to me. Same with the motor in the km indians. The power plus motor is claimed to be there own, but to me it still appears to be a hd evo based motor. Polaris needs to change that.
