from that picture it looks like the new norton is plauged with the same aliminum poisoning of the hinkley bonneville. that is the all aluminum motor. my biggest disapointment with my hinkley was a jap bike feel i could never really get away from.

i think norton could at least dress the cyclinders and head finning up a bit as to not look like a XS750.

the good thing is its twin shocks! i am anxiuos to see some more.

I do believe you are correct, sir. Now I see that the forks are not inverted.

It is confusing. At first all of the SE pictures had traditional forks, but now the website shows pictures of SE versions with traditional and USD forks.

This page shows traditional forks and brakes on the SE.

This page shows USD forks and radial brakes on the SE

Maybe you can choose.

That's a little confusing but the problem is with the bikes used for the shoot. Those are the pre-NEC show prototypes. The yellow bike at one point received the inverted forks but the fender was clearly only on the bike for the photograph. It would never have worked. It later received the mudguards that are shown on the red and black bikes. Also that assembly is photoshopped and the bikes are at different stages of development to the final 961 Cafe bike.

If #4 of 200 is only now getting registered I guess it will be a while before we start to hear about them on the road. And quite a while before we start hearing about their performance and reliability. Getting these things out to the public is proving a long and painful business.
