Most users have a pretty decent grasp on what type of message to post in a given Board. To add a little clarification for newer members, though, here are some basics guidelines:

General questions about Cycle World the magazine, the website and other related activities should be asked in Cycle World Feedback.

Any questions involving motorcycles should be posted in its respective board. American bikes, in the American Bikes board, dirt bikes in the Off-Road Bikes board and so on and so forth. This is also the best place to ask for help with repairs, modifications and maintenance for your specific brand/model. If you have a general technical question, ask in the Tech Line board. :

The Sportbike board is a catch-all for all those interested in high-performance riding, whether it be on the street or track. All makes and models from all nations are welcome here, so long as performance and handling are two ticks on your list of top-three objectives.:

As its name implies, the Racing board is meant for all forms of racing. While we encourage free discussion, please announce a race spoiler in the subject line. It’s just plain rude to spoil the results for those less fortunate that cannot watch same day coverage.:

The Gear & Parts section is a great place to ask questions about the various doo-dads and hardware that can be fitted to your bike. If you’ve got a great experience with a product, post it up and don’t forget the photos! This board encompasses hardware, like a new slip-on or tire, to software, like pants or jackets.:

Lastly, Forum Help is your one-stop board for any and all issues pertaining to the forums. If you can’t figure out why something isn’t working the way you think it should, post it up and get a response.
