That's a good excersize. It does prove the point that spared are available for those.<br><br>You can do the same with any model of BMW. There's a company in Germany that's making parts for vintage BMW's. I think they cover any model made after WWII. You can find any part for them listed in their catalog, from frames and forks, engines, wheels, up to seats, handlebars gas tanks. All parts made under license from BMW. I think a lot of the parts for older beemers that are carried in dealer's inventories come from this factory.<br>It might end up costing you $20 or $30 grand alltogether, but it could be done.

I think leakage is common among those.<br>Years ago a friend of mine parked his Shadow in my brand new driveway. Left quite a puddle. I told my wife that we couldn't clean up a $20,000 oil spot. It eventually faded away.
