You probably will not go wrong with either motorcycle. On newstands, in the very near future, CW will have their annual 600 comparison. If you cannot wait, you may want to go here for another/different/similar perspective -><br>http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Article_Page.aspx?ArticleID=4514&Page=1<br><br>Don't use these comparisons as an "end all" to your decision, take the information from these reports/articles and use it to help guide you as you attempt to select the motorcycle that best fits you.
<div>Got experience riding supersports from both manufacturers? If so, gut feel and informed opinion will probably be the deciding factor.</div><div> </div><div>Never ridden a sportbike before? Probably shouldn't be looking toward either. ;)</div><div> </div><div>R6 seems more of a track bike, from what I've read. ZX maybe tuned a bit more for the street.</div>

People sure are making a big fuss over which 600 4 banger to buy. I guess that really shows how closs these machines are to each other. I guess it could all come down to which one is more comfortable.<br><br>Oh and if you want something different but in the same class, Triumph Daytona 675.

<div>Neither are good first bikes. But that wasn't the question...</div><div> </div><div>Everyone's opinion is different... </div><div> </div><div>My self, I don't like the way the R6 looks. Not a fan of the stubby exhaust... I also don't care for all the graphics/stickers. I haven't ridden one, but every review I've read has talked about how gutless it is down low. Even for a 600cc four.... Not much going on un 10k rpm or so... Brakes and handling are supposed to be excellent. </div><div> </div><div>6R. I like the way it looks. I like the simple shape and colors. I'm not a fan of the under seat exhaust. I prefer it hanging off the side. Haven't read many reviews of it yet... Just a few quick rides, nothing with any of the competition along.</div><div> </div><div>I ride on the street... So I'd get a Triumph Daytona 675. The new CBR600RR has some appeal to me... I can't get over how small and lite it felt at the IMS. </div><div> </div><div>The Yamaha seems like too much of a track bike, so I'd get the 6R if those are your only 2 choices. Maintain either, and reliabiltiy and longevity shouldn't be a problem.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Chris</div><div> </div>

<div>The kawa has more low and mid range response than the yami.</div><div> </div><div>You have to be above 8500 to 9000 for the yami to start moving.</div><div> </div><div>The kawai will start off without having to slip the clutch much to get rolling..fairly decent response from 4500 rpm up..</div><div> </div><div>go to the company sites and check peak rpm torque and at what rpm they come in at.</div><div> </div><div>There is no reliability problem that i have heard about from either of the bikes. i like the solid colors and looks of the Kawai much more than the yamaha.</div><div> </div><div>The build an finish quality of the kawais have improved immensly in the las 5 0r 6 years. If you are riding on the street the Kawai because of the performance characteristics would be a much better bike.</div>

<div></div><div></div><div></div><div>Get the ZX6R</div><div>Its a better all around bike and despite what some people may say about the R6 is a better track bike this and the R6 is a better track bike that, I'll be willing to bet that the ZX6R in full race trim would give any R6 in full race trim a run for its money due to the fact that the Kwak has a better tourque curve and that is the most important thing for driving out of corners. Also the ZX6R is a better all around bike and a better everyday street ride as well.</div><div>But if you open your options up alittle bit more then IMHO if you want the absolute BEST 600 for street or track then I would go with the new HONDA CBR600RR. Thats the BEST 600 for track or street IMHO.</div><br><br>Message Edited by Realmanken on <span class="date_text">04-24-2007</span> <span class="time_text">05:25 PM</span>
