That probably has the scrambler high pipes. For me, one of the most memorable Commandos is a Yellow one, regular tank, and a corbin seat.

<DIV>Correctly known as the S-model. Also disitinguished by a ring around the headlight. Lots of roadracers put the S pipes on for the added cornering clearance.</DIV>

School is almost done for the year and then I'll be hitting the Norton full bore, mate ( I work with a bunch of UK transplants.)<br><div></div></div>

<div></div><div>What else?<br><blockquote><div><hr>Greaser wrote:<div><br><div>OK, and WHAT ELSE was different on the "S" model??;)</div></div><br><hr></div></blockquote><br><div>Regular tank? Which tank is that?</div><div> </div><div>That bike looks like it may have a steel tank. The side panel is obviously fiberglass. All "S" models were fiberglass, weren't they?</div><div> </div><div>I like DE's 880 Commando Fastback Interstate S model a lot. With a Hi Rider seat and an SS front fender he would have it all covered! I have long considered a set of "SS" pipes (one high on each side) for my MK III, but losing the ability to use soft bags easily would suck.</div></div>
