just wanted to let you know i really liked and appreciated you posting this pic. i couldnt get away from the peanut gallery long enuff to let you know in the thread you posted it. but i tell ya, springer is really the last true grand national champion i remember. a true american moto hero. back when it still meant something to guys in the street.

i am not sure jay was from michigan, but that whole era with dirt, tt, and road racing was true championship racing. nothing against parker and the rest of the new age guys, but those were the days!

actually , you could have pm'd me even easier.

the fact is, doyle posted that pic to the board, not to me exclusively. i thought it got lost on the other post amongst monkeyspankers hacktrolling, so i wanted to acknowledge it to be sure it got the exposure ON THE FORUM that doyles time and effort deserved.

if you dont like it, tuff ****. you could have just as easily skipped this thread. after all , the heading was hey DJ! not hey hondarider919.

try contributing for once. and i dont consider half a dozen detailed boring pictures of a bike you no longer own contributing.

Thanks Hack !!! Jay was from Michigan, part of the Michigan Mofia as they use to call them. Jay came between Bart Markel and Scotty Parker. Bart was the Champ when I started riding and we were real proud of him. Those Orange and Black Harleys sure looked good on the mile tracks back then. : )
919, Hack and I should be able to talk about harleys and Harley riders on the American forum without you ( A Harley Hater ) butting in to trash the thread. Who are you to tell someone on the American forum not to post to someone but rather PM them?? It is none of your business...... dj
