The ad? Dumb. Presumptuous. Misleading like so many ads (if you buy this, you'll be surrounded by beautiful people who WANT you.) 
 
The creed? Interesting. Cheesy. I've heard inebriated oaths that were more appealing. 
 
Would I buy the product based upon the ad? No. Shameful waste of film, if it was done to attract customers.

The "creed" ad doesn't seem any worse than the "Star" ads showing groups of hardcore biker lookin' guys in Star vests hanging out or those proclaiming that purchasing a Star motorcycle is an act of individualism. It certainly isn't worse than the sport bike ads showing racers on tracks or "professional riders on a closed course" speeding along some canyon road.

My guess is that the Creed was not done to sell more bikes. Good will and brand affirmation are just as important, and at that the video is flat-out brilliant.

i havent seen this vid. so there is not much i can say. i am willing to bet its based on later models?

ugh, i just joined, like one hour ago. and just responded to the site . hell, i liked it...and i have a degree in advertising & it was made to reach those who don't have one...but do have the moola to own one...so what, i'd like 'em to join us. has anyone watched ads for lexus or any other pretend to be box..or even the real things, or macdonald commercials? 
but i degress; i've been riding since '63 . about 14 bikes, even moto-crossed in the day . i do like my softail now and i'm scrapping the chrome boards and the pipes off, they can be replaced tho. but not my grin! 
some of my fellow riders ride the metrics, that's ok. some of my fellow riders look and are a whole lot rougher than those cats, so what. of course we never ride together like that but so what. ever tried to film a pr piece & get a 100 bikes in one shot?

Everyone I know that has a softtail scrapes the heck out of their boards and pipes trying to hang with my old iron thru the twistie stuff........ a few even manage to nearly sheat themselves clearing the back wheel off the ground refusing to accept defeat when their problem is insurmountable......... ground clearance...... excesssive weight

Interesting that you and the esteemed editor have polar opposite opinions regarding the intent of the vid 
 
all I know is it made me feel icky and like I needed a shower 
 
what's your opinion of the black sheep thing? 
 
oh, and guess the wheel base of this bike......... think it's longer or shorter than yours? 
 
The rake is 43 degrees.

I'm just now coming down off the high of finally getting a whaddizit! So I'm taking a shot at this one, I going to guess 3.00 inches on the wheelbase.

i am figuring the Creed , and i would like to see it, is based on selling new bikes, many of which are twin cammers. 
my point being , you sounded to me like you were trying to defend againt any anti-creed vibes you gave off , by mentioning you own 8 harleys. so i wondered if any were of the later type that actually had anything to do with the Creed video.

Hackasaw- don't mean to be a PITA; but, could you check with Western Union about the gas money? Not complaining or anything, it's just Grandpa's getting irritable hanging around the Citco. 
 
I gotta say, the people have been real hospitable here. This girl said we could have any spare change she had, if it would help. Wouldn't you know, she didn't have a dime on her...

Really though, I have no idea why she didn't just say, "Hey! I'm Uncle Ernie and here's that money you won from Hackasaw for guessing all that cool stuff on CW!!!" 
 
This is about the third time she's pulled that stunt. 
 
I may just have to IronPimp slap her down if there's anything left of her after you and Granpa teach her some manners.
