<div>It looked like Colin just got a totally bad start and had to work his way up. I think he rode well but was too far back too soon to do any damage.</div><div> </div><div>Nicky struggled all weekend and at the Qatar test in the pre-season. I don't think his bike is that good yet. The only reason that Pedrosa was able to stay in the lead group was that he weighs about the same as my left leg. That allowed him to get off the corner and stay in the draft. As soon as he lost the draft with a mistake Hopkins and him faded back and lost touch.</div><div> </div><div>Hopefully, Nicky will be able to get his bike sorted out and be in the hunt soon. This is the first time in a long time that Honda doesn't look ready for the season.</div>

<DIV>About Nicky, I can only hope he'll be ready to dig-deep for the next round. </DIV>

<div>I hope they all bounce back . I want to see the dream American race with 1-4 all USA. I'm sure it happened before. Lawson,Rainey,Schwantz.</div><div>Anyone else? Maybe Roberts,Mamola,Spencer. Probably never happen again.</div>

<div>I'm not positive if four Americans have filled the top-four positions before, but looking around I did uncover that 1989 had to be the single greatest year for American fans ever in Grand Prix Racing. In nine out of 15 races three Americans filled the podium. Lawson won the championship that year with Rainey second and Schwantz fourth, with those three filling those spots.</div><div> </div><div>I doubt it will ever get better than that.</div><div> </div><div>Blake Conner</div>
