The color doesn't look right to me, too violet. Any pictures I have see of header pipes that are hot, the color is red as in "red hot"

That is the best looking ceramic coating I've ever seen on an exhaust pipe? Purple. Where did you get that done?

That puts me one step closer to an all-purple motorcycle. I just need to find someone that can do purple chrome!

I'll tell you what, those pipes get so hot they glow and become almost transparent -

Freaks me out still to this day, and it's normal -

My English friend once told me about how on Sunday evenings in the 50's, the families coming home from a weekend in Brighton on their BSA M21 sidecar outfits (mum and dad on the bike, and the young'uns in "the chair") would light the way with their glowing exhaust pipes climbing the hill up from the coast.
These were sidevalve 600cc engines with all of 5 or 6 to one compression ratios.

sheesh, stupid auto-smilies! no right parenthesis next to a semi-colon.
double sheesh, I didn't put that semi-colon in there, the auto-html program did it for me when it replaced my quotation mark with (ampersand)quot(semi-colon)
How come programmers never think these things through?

Just pretend that stupid little robot is a closing parenthesis, I want to leave it alone as evidence.
Message Edited by carlo on 02-01-200707:35 AM

The glow is completely normal on todays competetion four strokes at idle, especially with the choke on. Almost everyone who owns one thought they were gonne blow up their brand new bike when they saw the glow. Take off on a putt around the block and the glow will disappear.

The TRX450 is muy bueno! :p The YFZ450 is faster though. ;)
